This has\ntaken a harsh toll on the print media. The number of newspaper and magazine\nreaders is declining and the outlets\u2019 reach is shrinking. The number of ads published by these papers\nrespectively declined 79%, 82%, and 83%.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The variety of ads published by Asia News has also narrowed.\nDuring the nine-month period, 86% of the ads published in the newspaper were\nabout foods and beverages, along with services.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" width=\"1024\" height=\"1024\" src=\"http:\/\/dnaunion.com\/en-us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/EMRC-Journals-Infography-EN_6-1024x1024.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-4995\" srcset=\"https:\/\/dnaunion.com\/en-us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/EMRC-Journals-Infography-EN_6-1024x1024.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/dnaunion.com\/en-us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/EMRC-Journals-Infography-EN_6-300x300.jpg 300w, https:\/\/dnaunion.com\/en-us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/EMRC-Journals-Infography-EN_6-150x150.jpg 150w, https:\/\/dnaunion.com\/en-us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/EMRC-Journals-Infography-EN_6-768x768.jpg 768w, https:\/\/dnaunion.com\/en-us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/EMRC-Journals-Infography-EN_6.jpg 1080w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>In the nine months, the number of ads published by Hamshahri\nplummeted 82% compared to a year earlier. The paper printed zero ads about\nhealth products, sports, and clothes and accessories in the period. Ads about\nservices in general and financial services used to account for 65% of ads\npublished by Hamshahri. The share has dropped to 38%.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The number of ads published by Asre-Eghtesad declined by 83%\nyear-over-year during the period. But the share of some categories has increase,\nnamely services, computers and electronic devices, foods and beverages,\ncommunication services, and financial services.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" width=\"1024\" height=\"1024\" src=\"http:\/\/dnaunion.com\/en-us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/EMRC-Journals-Infography-EN_8-1024x1024.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-4998\" srcset=\"https:\/\/dnaunion.com\/en-us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/EMRC-Journals-Infography-EN_8-1024x1024.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/dnaunion.com\/en-us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/EMRC-Journals-Infography-EN_8-300x300.jpg 300w, https:\/\/dnaunion.com\/en-us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/EMRC-Journals-Infography-EN_8-150x150.jpg 150w, https:\/\/dnaunion.com\/en-us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/EMRC-Journals-Infography-EN_8-768x768.jpg 768w, https:\/\/dnaunion.com\/en-us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/EMRC-Journals-Infography-EN_8.jpg 1080w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Three Iranian magazines observed the sharpest decline in the\nnumber of ads published, namely Khodro-e-Mrooz, Khanevade Sabz, and Film. The\nnumber of ads published by the magazines respectively declined 60%, 56%, and\n69% year-on-year during the nine months.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The only magazine that observed a surge in the number of ads\nwas Ashpaz Bashi. The number of ads published by the magazine increased by 14%\ncompared to a year earlier.
