{"id":4934,"date":"2020-02-09T12:11:00","date_gmt":"2020-02-09T08:41:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/dnaunion.com\/en-us\/?p=4934"},"modified":"2020-02-17T11:09:10","modified_gmt":"2020-02-17T07:39:10","slug":"sales-of-hairstyling-products-declining","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dnaunion.com\/en-us\/sales-of-hairstyling-products-declining\/","title":{"rendered":"Sales of Hairstyling Products Declining"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>In the one year period ending on Sep. 22, 2019, sales of\nhairstyling products in Iran declined by 11% compared to a year earlier, market\nresearch carried out by the emrc shows.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The current report is based on data gathered by the emrc from\nmajor retailers active in 24 Iranian cities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A wide range of hairstyling products are offered in Iran.\nThe products and their share in the market are as follows: styling spray 63%,\ngel 28%, glue 4%, wax 2%, gel wax 1%, mouse 1%, cream 1%, and other products\n0.2%.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Considering the economic headwinds Iran is facing, almost\nall businesses have been forces to jack up prices. Following the imposition of\nharsh US sanctions against Tehran prices of raw materials and production costs\nhave gone through the roof. The economic conditions have forced Iranian\nproducers to increase prices. Furthermore, the economic hard times have force\npeople to curb spending.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Sales of hairstyling spray declined by 4% during the period\ncompared to a year earlier. During the period sales of hairstyling gel and\nmouse respectively dropped by 24% and 26% year-on-year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>With the Iranian rial deprecating almost all businesses have\nbeen forced to hike prices. While the rial value of hairstyling products sold\nin Iran has jumped by 76%, the companies\u2019 turnover in dollar terms have\ncontracted.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The rial value of hairstyling spray sold in Iran jumped by\n93% YOY during the one year period.
