Iranian apparel brand Body Spinner has embarked on a long\nterm partnership with dnaunion subsidiary, the emrc. The emrc will conduct\nmarket research and consumer studies for the company.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Marketing manager of Body Spinner, Hesam Qoraishi says, \u201cWe\nat the Body Spinner believe in data-driven decision making. Developing a\nmarketing and advertising strategy without market research is meaningless.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cIn addition to focusing on product quality, adhering to\ncustomers\u2019 preferences and behavioral patterns is high on Body Spinner\u2019s\nagenda. In the fashion industry considering consumers\u2019 taste is of paramount\nimportance,\u201d he adds.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
According to him, no proper research has been carried out\nabout Iran\u2019s fashion market.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThere has been a shift in Iran consumers\u2019 preferences.\nPeople are less inclined towards buying products made by foreign brands. The\ndevelopment provides local apparel makers with a chance to increase their share\nin the market,\u201d Qoraishi notes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Over the past few months, and following the imposition of US\nsanctions against Tehran, government authorities have limited imports so as to\ncurb capital flight. Clothes have been among the products which their imports\nhave been banned.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Qoraishi calls the current conditions \u201ca golden opportunity\nfor local producers.\u201d He is of the opinion that Iranian apparel producers\nshould make good use of the opportunity and secure their share in the market.\nHe notes that the conditions are likely to change in the future.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Pointing to the emrc\u2019s previous activities in the fashion\nmarket, Qoraishi calls the newly forged partnership promising. He also noted\nthat Body Spinner has collaborated with the dnaunion over the past few years\nand have always been satisfied with services offered by the company.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He concluded by saying, \u201cFor firms active in the fashion\nindustry, spending money on market research is an investment in the future.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
A deputy at the emrc, Saeed Nabavian says, \u201cStudying\nconsumers’ taste should and has always been high on apparel companies\u2019 agenda.\nThe companies should study what elements attract buyers. The general rule\napplies to Body Spinner as well.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
